Contaminated site at Lake Way

It's not much to look at, but this is one of the most radioactive sites in Western Australia. The white rock in the foreground is uranium ore, all that remains of a stockpile at the Lake Way uranium test site. The geiger counter recorded a radiation level of +2600 counts at ground level, compared with a normal background level of +35.
