GOALS
(A)
- developing members', and friends', knowledge on scientific matters associated with the nuclear industry
- maintaining a watch on scientific matters at AUCWA's Web and offering, where appropriate, suggestions for improvements
- being ready to answer questions from press, etc.
- being ready to provide speakers at appropriate meetings (e.g. have an invitation for a Nov. meeting on Pangea to be held by WA Medical Physicists)
- getting ready to read environmental impact documents from Pangea, and to be able to offer informed comment
- assisting undergraduate students find resources to answer scientific questions as might arise in project work relating to topics associated with Pangea's dump
- assisting the general public with their scientific questions related to Pangea's dump.
(B)
To assist in all the above, to develop a membership and a register of their scientific skills and, as important, interests where they might be prepared to develop skills.
