Write a Letter
One of the most effective and underrated ways of making a difference is
to write to your elected
representatives to make your point and find out their views.
Politicians judge the importance of an issue by how many letters they
receive on the subject.

CANNWA co-ordinates letter writing campaigns to flood parliamentarians
and shareholders with mail to emphasise community feeling on nuclear
issues. If you want to be on our mailing list to add to these efforts,

A word on Letter Writing
Letters,
phonecalls and visits to politicians - particularly near an election -
are one of the best ways to keep the issue alive. He or she knows that
for every one who takes the time to visit or write, "there
are hundreds or thousands of people who feel the same way but lacked
the time, resources, skills or motivation to write a similar letter." (Sharon
Beder).
Let your own State
and Federal politician, the Prime Minister, Leader of the Opposition,
and relevant Ministers know how you feel about uranium mining and
Australia's disastrous involvement in the nuclear fuel cycle. Asking real questions and saying
that you await their reply makes it more likely that you will get a response.
