Public petition campaigns

We have a number of petition campaigns current. In 1999 we collected more than 50,000 signatures from people demanding our Parliamentarians pass a law against dumping nuclear waste in WA. These signatures were tabled in Parliament by Greens MLC Giz Watson, and in November, the bill was passed into law.

About the petition formats
RTF (Rich Text Format) is a simple text format that can be read by most computers, even very old models.
PDF (Portable Document Format) is a newer format designed for sending documents over the web. You need the Adobe Acrobat browser to read these files. Acrobat is available from Adobe's website or commonly on the CDs distributed with computer magazines.
DOC Microsoft word document file.

BE HEARD...

Step One:
Download and print the petitions by clicking on one of the links in the table on the left.

Step Two: Have family, friends, strangers and strange friends fill in the petition. Don't abbreviate, don't write on the back, and fill out addresses in full even if different people on the petition live at the same address.

Step Three: Post the petitions to ANAWA, PO Box 582 Leederville, Western Australia 6903

We take the completed petitions and have them tabled in Parliament. Over time, this clearly demonstrates the strength of the opposition of Western Australians to the nuclear industry.
