In June 1999, AUCWA (later to be renamed to ANAWA) established an email list-server to act as a forum for people concerned about the creeping nuclearisation of WA. If you're new to the idea, a list server allows you to post a message to an entire group, and read what comes in from everyone else. If used with care, it can be an important element of our community.


To subscribe to the list, send a blank message to:

Wait a few minutes, and check your email - the system should have sent back an invitation to join. All you have to do is return this message to sender to confirm your subscription.

Before joining up, we ask that you consider the following:

Please keep to the subject. Occasional important messages for other issues are ok but we need to be pretty strict about keeping to nuclear issues.
Keep your posts brief if possible.
Don't send personal messages to the whole list - if you want to say something to someone, send it directly to them.
Don't post sensitive or libellous information to this list. Anyone could be listening.
PLEASE do not send any kind of attachment to the list. Viruses have been transmitted this way and it slows everybody's email systems down. If you have an attachment to send, let people know so they can request it from you.
Most importantly... This is an unmoderated list - no-one is censoring the posts. In the spirit of nonviolence, please show respect for diverse points of view, and make this a forum for healthy debate.
